Getting here
- Access to Lavender Bay is on foot only via Blues Point Road and Lavender Street.
- No parking available. Public transport is the best way to get around on New Year’s Eve, with thousands of extra services running.
- The closest stations are North Sydney train station and Victoria Cross metro station.
- Plenty of extra trains, metro and buses will be operating. Follow the directions of NSW Police and staff onsite.
- Roads around Lavender Bay will begin closing from 7pm on 30 December with major road closures from 5pm on New Year’s Eve. Leave the car at home. See road closure information.
Leaving
- Pedestrian diversions will be in place on New Year’s Eve. The way you leave may be different to how you arrived. Be prepared for a longer walk to transport hubs.
- If you’re travelling home through the city, catch trains from North Sydney station. If you’re traveling north, catch the metro from Victoria Cross via Miller Street.
- Buses towards the Northern Beaches leave from Berry Street in North Sydney. Buses towards the North Shore and Hills district leave from Miller Street near McLaren Street.
